Making strawberry jam
These are the sweet girls that we get to do our homeschool swap with. I feel so lucky to have these girls and moms to grow with. I really do love them! Today we made jam (they were so serious) and read Jam for Frances. Great memories from when I was a kid.

Sick days
Jesse and Eva had a bug this week. It started with Eva's fever & Jesse loved taking care of her. At least the rain helped us stay inside and get better. At the end of the week we needed some fresh air, so we went outside and picked strawberries at Jerry Marsh Farms. The kids had a fun time fantasizing about the different foods they could make with their strawberries.

Baby chicks
For school yesterday we were lucky enough to see the new baby chicks at Kristi's house. Jesse could have sat there all day holding each one of the chicks in turn

April 8th Easter!
Easter was a joy this year. Highlights...glow-in-the-dark egg hunt, resurrection rolls, hot cross buns, cross necklaces, picnic at Lindsey's house!

April 7th
Two other traditions we have for Easter
are hot cross buns and our Easter tomb. The kids are learning the story and enjoying the traditions, but I think the challenge will be as year progress to teach them what Jesus dying and raised to life really means for their life.

Seder dinner
I love creating traditions for our family. Easter has been a great time to think about how to celebrate a holiday in a meaningful way. Seder dinner has been one of our favorites on Maundy thursday.

April 4, 2012 - garden
Jesse, Eva, and Caleb,
This blog is an attempt to log a few things every day that you might enjoy looking back on. I finally tried my hand at appliqué. Eva was a a sport to wear it.
We also took Cinnamon to the dog groomer and enjoyed a quiet morning in the garden. Added cucumbers, tomato, squash, and peppers. The kids got to pick some flower seeds. We will see how that goes!I
